Rheo Blair Bodybuilding Nutrition Secrets

Rheo Blair birth name was actually Irvin Johnson, he was born in New Jersey on Oct. 9, 1921. He was very sickly as a child, which prompted him to research exercise and nutrition to improve his health.

He moved to Chicago where he opened a gym and developed his soon to become famous concentrated protein supplement called Hi-Protein. He started marketing it through leading physical culture magazines, particularly Iron Man, in 1950.

Irvin Johnson’s workout and nutrition methods were decades ahead of their time when he developed them in the 1950’s. In fact he was taking regular people and making them champion bodybuilders in record time without the use of steroids.

Johnson then moved to California, changed his name to Rheo H. Blair ands became nutritionist to the stars, including actors, celebrities and bodybuilders. Just some of the top bodybuilders that followed his advice and used his supplements included: Larry Scott, Dave Darper, Steve Davis, Jim Park, Don Howorth, Frank Zane, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike Katz, Ed Corney, etc.

He recommended a high protein diet made up of lean meats, eggs, milk, fresh vegetables, and some fruit. His Milk and Egg Protein, which is said to be better then anything on the market today and worked like magic, was taken three times a day between meals. It was mixed with raw milk and cream plus a little bit of fruit for flavoring.

Hydrochloric acid and enzyme supplements were also taken with every meals to assist in the digestion of the protein.
