Jason Arntz Bodybuilder

Interview with Bodybuilder Jason Arntz

jason arntz bodybuilder Q. How long have you been training?

A. Although it seems like yesterday, I have been training with weights for over 15 years; however, I have been training as a bodybuilder for about 12 years.

Q. What contributed to your decision to pursue bodybuilding?

A. I decided to pursue bodybuilding as a sport because I responded well to the training and I especially liked the way my body was developing. I thought I would make a good bodybuilder so I just kept training. I also loved the fact that I had to do everything myself, I had no teammates, to rely on which is also the reason why I liked wrestling so much. However, with bodybuilding the more I dedicated the more I would get back.

Q. What have been your recent competitions?

A. As a professional bodybuilder I have competed in the Arnold Classic twice. Further, I competed in the Night of Champions three times, the Ironman four times, the San Francisco once and the Toronto Grand Prix twice.

Q. Where do you think the direction of the sport is heading?

A. I think the direction of the sport is on the rise as there are more and more bodybuilders being accepted in the mainstream. More athletes and actors and the mainstream fitness consumer are wanted to resemble bodybuilders. WWE wrestlers are making it in Hollywood and endorsing bodybuilding products. It seems that bodybuilding is at the core that other opportunities can springboard from.

Q. Where do you think the sport will be in the next five years?

A. In the next 5 years bodybuilding will evolve like any other sport. You have to remember in the 1950s Ð1960s pro football payers did not make real money, as they really did not have contracts or endorsements like today. The same is true with other sports as long as there are fanatics there is a market. In the next 5 years we as bodybuilders will be a little more ahead.

Q. If you did not pursue bodybuilding, what other sport would you have chosen?

A. If not for bodybuilding, I would have pursued a career in football.
