Autumn All Meat Chili Bodybuilding Recipe

Whether you like your chili mainly with meat or with a few beans, this will be an all time favorite. Perfect for a cold autumn day. The secret ingredient--cocoa powder.

  • 2 pounds lean ground sirloin
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 can (15 oz.) stewed tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 can (4 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Brown meat in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Pour off any fat; add onions, garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, oregano, cocoa, and paprika. Stir to mix well.

Turn to low, cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes. Uncover and simmer for another 20-30 minutes until thickened.

May add black soybeans for lower carb legume or any other canned legumes. May spice up the flavor with cayenne or red pepper sauces.

Serve chili with grated cheese, sour cream, raw chopped onion, or other favorite sauces.

Serves: 6-8
